The Quran contains many verses that can be recited as prayers, both from the mouths of prophets and angels. In some verses, this is further emphasized by the phrase "Say." Below, we have shared the verses in which Allah teaches us how to pray, grouped under three main headings. Although they appear to be divided into headings, some prayers encompass more than one topic simultaneously. Only the prayer portions of the verses are shown; parts outside the prayer are indicated with "...".
As you read the prayers below, you will see how prayers outside of the Quran are steeped in polytheism, and you will learn how to pray in a way that is free from polytheism...
1) PRAYERS OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING TO ALLAH
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 32
32. (The angels): “You are exalted; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. You alone are All-Knowing, All-Judging.”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 255
255. Allah, there is no god but Him. He is the Living, the Sustainer of life. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. And who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. And no one can comprehend His knowledge except those whom He wills. His dominion extends over the heavens and the earth, and it is not difficult for Him to guard them. He is the Exalted, the Great. (Verse of the Throne)
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 127
127. ... "Our Lord! Accept this from us. Indeed, You alone are the Hearing, the Knowing."
Ikhlas, verses 1-4.
1. Say: “He is Allah, the One.”
2. God is not in need.
3. He has neither begotten nor been begotten (he is not anyone's father).
4. And there is none like Him.”
Surah Al-Fatiha, verses 2-4.
2-4. All praise belongs to Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Master of the Day of Judgment, and the Lord of all creation.
Al-Imran 9th verse
9. Our Lord! It is You who will surely gather mankind on a Day about which there is no doubt. Indeed, Allah does not break His promise.
Al-Imran 26th verse
26. Say: “O Allah, the Owner of sovereignty! You give sovereignty to whom You please and You take it away from whom You please. You raise whom You please and You humble whom You please. And in Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are All-Powerful.”
27. You put the night into the day, and the day into the night.
"You bring forth the living from the dead, and the dead from the living. And You provide sustenance to whomever You wish without measure."
En'âm, Verse 1
1. All praise belongs to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth, and brought forth darkness and light.
En'âm, Verse 161
161. Say: “Indeed, my Lord has guided me to the straight path, to the religion of Abraham, who believed in oneness and were not polytheists.”
En'âm, Verse 162
162. Say: “Indeed, my prayer, my worship, my life, and my death are for Allah, the Lord of all worlds.”
Repentance, verse 129
129. “Allah alone is sufficient for me. There is no god but Him. I have placed my trust in Him alone. He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
Yusuf, verse 101
101. O my Lord! You have certainly given me a share of authority and taught me some of the interpretation of dreams. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my friend in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous!
Ibrahim, verse 38
38. Our Lord! Indeed, You know what we conceal and what we reveal. Nothing in the heavens or on earth is hidden from Allah.
Isra, Verse 111
111. Say: “Praise be to Allah, who has not begotten a child, who has no partner in His authority, and who has no need of a friend.” Glorify Him as He deserves!
Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 87
87. “There is no god but You; You are exalted. Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.”
Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 28
28. “Praise be to Allah, who has delivered us from the company of the oppressors!”
Surah An-Naml, verse 40
40. “This is one of the blessings of my Lord, to test whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. Whoever is grateful, is grateful for himself; and as for the disbeliever, surely my Lord is Rich and Generous.”
Al-Hashr, Verse 22
22. He is Allah, there is no god but Him. He knows the unseen and the seen. He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
23. He is Allah, there is no god but Him. He is the Sovereign, the Source of Holiness, the Source of Peace, the Giver of Security, the Guardian, the Mighty, the One Who Can Do His Will, the One Who Shows His Majesty. Allah is exalted above what they associate with Him.
24. He is Allah, the Creator, the One who brings into existence from nothing, the One who gives form, and to whom belong the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. He is the Mighty, the Just Judge.
Al-Qasas, verse 17
17. “My Lord! I will never side with the wrongdoers in return for the blessings You have bestowed upon me!”
Al-Ahqaf, Verse 15
15. ……“My Lord! Grant me success in being grateful for Your favor upon me and my parents, and in doing good deeds that will please You. And grant me and my offspring righteousness. I have turned to You, and indeed I am one of the Muslims.”
Surah Saba, Verse 1
1. All praise belongs to Allah, to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.
In the Hereafter, all praise belongs to Him alone. He is the Just Judge, the All-Aware.
2. He knows what enters the earth and what comes out of it, what descends from the sky and what ascends to it. He is Most Merciful, Most Forgiving.
Surah Fatir, verses 34-35.
34-35. “Praise be to Allah, who has removed from us our worries! Our Lord, who has settled us in Paradise, wherein we will abide eternally, without any weariness or boredom, is indeed Forgiving and Gracious.”
Surah Zumer, verse 46.
46. Say: “O Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth from nothing, Who knows the unseen and the seen! You alone will judge between Your servants concerning that in which they differ.”
Surah An-Naml, verse 91
91. “I have been commanded to worship the Lord of this city (Mecca), to whom belongs all things and whom He has exalted. I have been commanded to be among the Muslims.
2-) PRAYERS ASKING FORGIVENESS FROM ALLAH
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 128
128. Our Lord! Make us of those who submit to You, and make from our offspring a nation that submits to You!
Show us the ways of worship; accept our repentance! Surely You alone are the One who accepts repentance abundantly; the Most Merciful.
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 285
285. ……..“We have heard and obeyed. Our Lord, to You is the return.” they say.
Al-Imran 8th verse
8. “Our Lord! Do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us mercy from Your presence. Indeed, You are the Most Generous.”
Al-Imran 16th verse
16. “Our Lord! Indeed, we have believed; forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire!”
Al-Imran 193rd verse
193. Our Lord! Indeed, we heard the caller inviting to faith, saying, "Believe in your Lord!" and we immediately believed. Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, cover our shortcomings, and cause us to die with the righteous.
A'raf 23rd Verse
23. “Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we will surely be among the losers.”
Verse 151 of Surah Al-A'raf
151. “My Lord! Forgive me and my brother, and have mercy on us. Indeed, You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.”
Verse 155 of Surah Al-A'raf
155. “My Lord! If You had willed, You could have destroyed them and me before.
Will You destroy us all because of the deeds of some of our fools? This is nothing but a test from You. By it You leave astray whom You will, and guide whom You will. You are our Friend; forgive us and have mercy on us. Indeed, You are the best of those who forgive.
Hud, verse 47
47. “My Lord! I seek refuge in You from asking You for that of which I have no knowledge. If You do not forgive me and have mercy on me, I will be among the losers!”
Ibrahim, verse 41
41. Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day of Judgment!
Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 109
109. 'Our Lord! We have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us. Indeed, You are the Most Merciful.'
Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 118
118. Say: “My Lord! Forgive and have mercy! Indeed, You are the best of those who show mercy.”
Al-Qasas, verse 16
16. “My Lord! Indeed, I have wronged myself; forgive me!”
Noah, verse 28
28. O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, those who enter my house as believers, the believing men and the believing women. And increase only the destruction of the wrongdoers!
Tahrim, Verse 8
8. “Our Lord, complete our light for us and forgive us. Indeed, You are All-Powerful.”
Surah Al-Mumtahina, verses 4-5.
4. ………. “Our Lord! We have placed our trust in You alone, and we have turned to You alone. And to You alone is the return.”
5. Our Lord! Do not make us a trial for the disbelievers. Our Lord! Forgive us. Indeed, You alone are Mighty, the Just Judge.”
Al-Hashr, Verse 10
10. ……“Our Lord! Forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and leave no hatred in our hearts for those who believe. Our Lord! Indeed, You are Most Compassionate, Most Merciful!”
Verse 7 of Surah Al-Mu'min
7. “Our Lord! Your mercy and knowledge encompass all things. Forgive those who repent and follow Your path, and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire.”
3) PRAYERS FOR SEEKING ALLAH'S HELP
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 201
201. …“Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of Hellfire!”
Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 250
250. …“Our Lord! Pour down patience upon us! Strengthen our feet! And help us against the disbelieving people.”
Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 286
286. ……“Our Lord! Do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake! Our Lord! Do not burden us with a heavy burden like that which You burdened those before us! Our Lord! Forgive us! Pardon us! Have mercy on us! You are our Master! Help us against the disbelieving people!”
Al-Imran 36th verse
36. ……..I named her Maryam. I seek refuge in You from the accursed Satan, both for her and her descendants.”
Al-Imran 53rd verse
53. “Our Lord! We believe in what You have revealed and we follow the Messenger. Write us down among the witnesses.”
Al-Imran 147th verse
147. “Our Lord! Forgive our sins and our transgressions in our deeds. Strengthen our feet and grant us victory over the disbelieving people!”
Al-Imran 191st verse
191. They remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and they ponder over the creation of the heavens and the earth. “Our Lord! You did not create this in vain. Exalted is You. Protect us from the punishment of Hellfire!”
Al-Imran 192nd verse
192. Our Lord! Indeed, whoever You cast into the Fire, You have certainly disgraced him.
There is no helper for the wicked.
Al-Imran 194th verse
194. Our Lord! Grant us what You promised through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not break Your promise.
A'raf 126th verse
126. ……. “Our Lord! Grant us abundant patience and cause us to die as Muslims.”
Verse 156 of Surah Al-A'raf
156. “Grant us good in this world and in the Hereafter. Indeed, we have turned to You.”
Yunus, verse 85.
85. “We trust in Allah alone. Our Lord, do not make us a trial for the wrongdoers.”
Yunus, verse 86.
86. "Deliver us, by Your mercy, from that community of disbelievers!"
Ibrahim, verse 40
40. O my Lord! Make me and my descendants among those who perform prayer!

Isra 24th verse
24. “My Lord! Have mercy on them as they cared for me when I was little (raised me with great attention)!”
Isra, Verse 80
80. Say: “My Lord! Grant me to enter with integrity and to depart with integrity. Grant me from You a helping power.”

10. … “Our Lord! Grant us mercy from You and prepare for us a way out of our predicament!”

23. Never say, "I will definitely do this tomorrow," about anything!

65. “Our Lord! Keep the punishment of Hellfire away from us. Indeed, its punishment is severe (it does not leave the person, it is eternal).”

74. “Our Lord! Grant us from our wives and our offspring a source of comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.”
Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 83
83. My Lord! Grant me the ability to judge justly and include me among the righteous.
84. Grant me to be remembered favorably among those who come after me!
85. Make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of blessings!
Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verses 87-89.
87-89. “Do not disgrace me on the Day when neither wealth nor children will benefit anyone except those who come with a sincere heart, that is, the Day when people will be resurrected!”
Surah Ash-Shu'ara, verse 169
169. O my Lord! Save me and my family from the consequences of their deeds!
Surah An-Naml, Verse 19
19. “My Lord! Grant me success in being grateful for Your blessings which You have bestowed upon me and my parents, and in doing good deeds that will please You. Include me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants!”
Al-Qasas, verse 24
24. “My Lord! Indeed, I am in need of whatever favor You bestow upon me!”
Surah Saffat, verses 99-100.
99-100. (Abraham) said, “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. My Lord, grant me a righteous child!”
Al-Falaq, verses 1-5.
1. Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn from their evil.”
2. From the evil of the things He created,
3. From the evil of darkness when it falls,
4. From the evil of those who blow on knots,
5. When you feel jealousy, beware of the evil of jealousy.”
An-Nas 1-6.
1. Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.
2. To the ruler of the people,
3. To the God of mankind.
4-6. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the whisperer who whispers into the hearts of men, from among the jinn and from among men.
Surah Al-Fatiha, verses 5-7.
5. (Our Lord!) We worship only You and we seek help only from You.
6-7. Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom You have bestowed Your favor upon, not the path of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray.
