Al-Basir means the One who sees everything, in every situation, in all its dimensions, with a unique and unparalleled, perfect vision. Allah, the All-Seeing, does not need any means of seeing, including eyes. His vision can never be comprehended by humans.
He is the One Who created you, yet some of you are disbelievers while some are believers. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.
Muhit expresses Allah's infinite, absolute, unique, and unparalleled all-encompassing nature. Allah encompasses everything with His knowledge and power, His will and wisdom, His mercy and forgiveness. Nothing, in any aspect, is outside of His knowledge and power. There is no power that can break His encompassment. Nothing can escape Him. No intelligent or willful being can bypass Him.
And to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is Ever Encompassing all things.
It means the One who encompasses everything, who cannot be encompassed by anything, whose capacity is infinite, and who expands possibilities. Emphasizes boundless capacity, mercy, and knowledge. Al-Wasi' focuses on the vastness and depth of divine attributes.
To Allah belong the east and the west: so whichever way you turn, there is the face of Allah! Allah is indeed All-Bounteous, All-Knowing.
The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is that of a grain which grows seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah enhances severalfold whomever He wishes, and Allah is All-Bounteous, All-Knowing.
The name Al-Raqib means the One who watches over, monitors, and keeps track of every action and movement at all times and in all circumstances; the One who is never unaware of His creations, the unique and unparalleled Watcher.
O humanity! Be mindful of your Lord Who created you from a single soul, and from it He created its mate, and through both He spread countless men and women. And be mindful of Allah—in Whose Name you appeal to one another—and ˹honour˺ family ties. Surely Allah is ever Watchful over you.
You are a lawyer. You take on a case. Only Allah, Al-Raqib, knows whether you prioritize the money you receive from your client or the manifestation of justice and truth in that case. A person should not forget that Allah is watching over them with the name Al-Raqib, and should not follow their desires but exhibit behavior consistent with piety.
Beyond that, no other women are permissible for you, nor can you exchange them for other wives, even if you admire their beauty, except those you already have. Allah is Watchful over everything.
AL-RAQIB The mention of the name Rakib in verse 52 of Surah Al-Ahzab, which forbids the Prophet from marrying again, should be understood as a message from our Lord to His Prophet: "Beware, My eye is upon you." This shows that Allah, the Rakib, does not leave even His Messenger outside of divine surveillance.
"Never did I say to them aught except what You (Allah) did command me to say: 'Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them, but when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things.
The Prophet is a witness, but not a watcher. Witnessing is testimony. However, this verse reveals that the watchfulness intended by Allah's name Raqib is not merely about witnessing actions.
The name Qarib means very close, boundless in closeness, unparalleled in the act of being close.
When My worshipers ask you about Me, I am near(Qarib). I answer the supplication of the suppliant when he calls to Me; therefore, let them respond to Me and let them believe in Me, in order that they will be righteous.
The absolute and eternal heir, the unique and unparalleled inheritor to whom the legacy of existence will remain after all heirs have perished.
And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while you are the Best of Inheritors."
